Dr. Luis Bonet-Ponce

Principal Investigator

“I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Valencia, in the east coast of Spain. I graduated from the Universidad the Valencia (B.Sc ’11) and obtained my Ph.D in 2015 (Universidad Catolica de Valencia). I moved to the United States and completed my postdoc at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), in Mark Cookson’s group. My work focuses on understanding the molecular biology underlying neurodegeneration. Specifically, by studying how lysosomal dynamics contributes to Parkinson’s disease. Outside the lab, I enjoy playing soccer and spending time with the family”.
